Affortunati is focused less on finished forms and final works than on seeking to augment how the present is perceived. She creates mnemonic sculptures and installations from old, everyday objects she collects over time and configures together, ultimately giving rise to a heightened experience of the installation location spatially and situationally and imbuing it with mnemonic and narrative meaning.
Affortunati ist weniger an endgültigen Formen und finalen Werken interessiert, sie zielt stattdessen auf eine augmentierte Wahrnehmung des Hier und Jetzt. Sie schafft mnemische Skulpturen und Installationen aus alten Gebrauchsgegenständen, die sie sukzessive zusammenträgt um dem Ort der Installation zu einer gesteigerten räumlich-situativen Erfahrbarkeit zu verhelfen und ihn mnemisch und narrative aufzuladen.
